Ron passed away on August 2, 2012 in Richmond, Virgina with his family at his side.  He was only 65 years old.  He always told us about the time he spent on the Lexington.  The Lexington was the last ship to go through the Brooklyn Navy Yard.  He was very proud to serve on the Lexington and his Country.  His family was also very proud of Ronnie.  He would tell us about life on the Lex and his shipmates.  We visited the Yorktown.  He showed us where he would stand watch at the Switch Board and all around the ship.  It was a great experience.  He never got to revisit the Lexington- oh, how I wish he had been about to go on board again.
