Comment: Seven of us were assigned to the Lex from Radar school on Treasure Island in San Francisco. We were named after Snow White’s the seven dwarfs. I was called Sleepy, my nickname was Sy. We all passed test and were promoted to 3rd class at the same time. I met my wife Pat at USO in Pensacola Florida April 9, 1967 and were married on September 26, 1967. Together 43 years and counting. Children Jeffrey & Laura, Grandsons, Nick, Billy (US Marine) Jeffrey. Those three years were some of the most exciting, fun, carefree and life changing times of my life. Yes there were difficulties and stress but all relative to the rest of my life.
