First came on board the “Lady Lex” as a part of the VF-213 squadron for a WESTPAC cruise. That was
in 1958. While with the squadron I took the third class exam for Aerographers Mate and passed the
test. I was transferred to ships company as a part of the OA Division. I have visited the “Lady Lex” twice; Once when my son was working in Corpus Christi and a second time to attend a 50-year reunion for the
1958-1959 OA Division group. Both trips were very good!
