My name is Rob Conte. I am submitting this post on behalf of my Grandfather-In-Law, former Naval Petty Officer First Class George L. Miller. PO1 George Miller served aboard the U.S.S. Lexington, from 1943 through 1945, as an Aviation Machinist Mate. Through his stories and recollections, I was able to gather that he served a majority of his time on the flight deck and hanger deck.

George Miller, 88, was born and raised in Bordentown, New Jersey. He resided in Central and South Jersey until 2007. He has since moved to Gaffney, South Carolina and lives with his Wife, Dorothy, Step-Daughter Jean and her husband Larry.

I am attempting to capture the stories and memories of the men and women in my family who were part of the greatest generation America has ever known. If anyone remembers or served along side George Miller, I would like to here from you and I am sure George would too!
