Lexington was a great ship. She served proudly during her time. Prior to her becoming a museum, she trained future pilots to serve on the newer Aircraft Carriers. All personnel onboard during my time were very proud of her. She was in a movie “MIDWAY” and had movie stars like Charles Heston, Henry Fonda, PONCH from the series of CHIPS being filmed while we were underway and tied up to the pier in Pensacola Florida.
