Petty Officer 3rd class Boatswains Mate, Captain McDaniel was the captain, Commander Terry was the executive officer. My duties consisted of working in the pilot house steering the ship, I also worked in the Engine room, Tool Room, manned the lines when getting underway and returning back to port. My active duty was up October 25th 1980. I went to school, worked varios jobs, I’ve been on my current job for 30 years, I’m now 56 years old.
