I am Gary’s Daughter updating his status.  Gary was the Lady Lex’ Diver, having had his own crew.  Gary is living in Smithfield, IL.  He is an ordained minister preaching in the local prison. He is retired from Gunther Construction Company.  He and his wife compete and show Norweigan Fjord horses.  He loves bow hunting for deer and turkey on his land. He also enjoys travelling to Mazetlan, Mexico every year for deep sea fishing.  He has an interest in Indian artifacts, having a wonderful collection.  My Dad would love to hear from any old crew mates or family. Gary Bruce Gunther passed away September 11, 2017 peacefully in his home in Smithfield, Illinois.  Gary returned to the Lady Lex for the first time since his service on October 11, 2013, where he married his daughter, Kari and her husband Karsten.  They were married in the chapel.
