I was assigned duty as the at sea ships newspaper editor. Since the radios, and the teletypes were in the radio shack, I copied newspaper broadcasts during the day and overnight and edited and published the newspaper in the wee hours so everyone had the news by 6am. Really neat duty. I was also assigned to the Brooklyn Navy Shipyard Radio Shack during the 1965 overhaul. I left the Lex to go to OCS, and consider my duty time on the Blue Ghost as my most enjoyable time in the Navy.
