The “W” Division from the USS Shangri-La CVA-38 was reassigned

to the LEX to participate in the Cuban Crisis. After the

Crisis we were reassigned back to the Shang. Being on the Lex

for only a short period most of the crew that I would remember

would of been in “W” Division. I plan to attend the museum

this year.
