Special unit assigned to Vice Admiral Marc A. Mitscher. I visited the Lexington in Corpus Christi, TX, with my children, on April 19, 2008. The Quartermaster’s office announced that I was on the Lex and asked all the visitors to find me and thank me for my service on the Lex during WWII. It was great to see the Lex again in Corpus Christi Bay and I would like to return to see the Lex again soon.
