Rank/Duty Assigned: Senior Chief Aviation Electrician's Mate assigned to HC-16. HC-16 was the only squadron assigned to Lexington and flew Search and Rescue (SAR) for the ship. We also ran logistic flights for the ship while at sea.

Comment: Of 30 years in the Navy (18 on sea duty) Lex is my favorite ship. I live here in Corpus Christi, and it is always a pleasure to see her sitting at her berth, enjoying her retirement. My grandchildren love her, too.
