Spent two years 0-1 level air traffic control. Small department only about 14 guys. Tight knit group. For the good old days we worked from flight ops 5:00 am to sometimes 1:00-2:oo am. Did that five days a week. Very busy carrier, the most ever traps and cats. I used t keep track of the traps. The most we ever did one day was 712 traps. This is where I learned how to write backwards on the flight status boards. Anybody out there worked at that time? Give me an email.
