Went aboard the Lady Lex while she was in Yokosuka, Japan about February of 1962 and was transferred to VF-162 at NAS Miramar before she left to go to Pensacola. Had two brothers in VF-162 so they put me in squadron operations as Ops Yeoman. Wish that I had stayed aboard the Lex for the trip around the Horn and then transferred to the squadron.

Primary job was cleaning the Landing Force Locker on a daily basis but I did get to shoot the shot line during replenishment.
