USS LEXINGTON Former Crew Member

Name: Higdon, Kenneth Michael

I served aboard the Lexington for 2 months in 1969.  I went aboard in Pensacola and was involved in disconnecting the gunfire control systems before they were to be removed in the Boston shipyard.  I went from the Lexington to the Intrepid after 2 months, since there were no more fire control systems, fire control technicians (now just called fire control man) were no longer required.
